Our Nubian herd is very well established with three breeding bucks and a large number of does with a wide variety of pedigrees. We breed for large capacious udders and long lactations in our does. Photo at right shows J-Nels RN Thyme's quads from 2007. Two of the dark spotted bucks are herd sires at the ranch and can be seen as adults on the Nubian buck's page.

J-Nels RN Thyme

This is a photo of Thyme, along with her yearling doe, about 1 month before delivering spotted quads! Thyme has a large capacious udder with fantastic attachment and is know for her long lactation. Thyme is what I consider the best thing on 4 legs in my barn and all her kids are outstanding.

Lucy

Photo Coming Soon

One day we received a call from the owner of our local feed store and he told us he purchased some Boer goats and that a Nubian doe was among the group. He told us she had a huge udder and wanted to know if we were interested in purchasing her. My first thought was "no" be we decided to look at her anyway. Needless to say, Lucy is now part of our herd and turned out to be an excellent milker. We are still in the process of searching for information about her pedigree.

CP Ranch Thyme INA Bottle

This is Ruthie's (CP Ranch Rhyme N Thyme) first little kid and she sure is a beauty. Although she has her father's spots (CP Ranch St. Patrick), she definitely inherited her mother's loud mouth.

CP Ranch Rollin N Clover

This is RN Thyme's doeling from her 4th freshening. Clover is out of a set of triplets with two brother's that went to other farms as breeding bucks. The photo above is a terrible photo and doesn't do justice to this beautiful doe.

Oak Hill Farm Sweet Charity

We purchased Charity from Oak Hill farm in Lake Wales along with several other does, Charity is a very large doe and comes from a good milking background and had excellent nice udder development at her first freshening. Charity gave birth to quads her last two freshenings and is such a large doe that she never looks pregnant.

CP Ranch Tally Ho

Tally Ho is a beautiful doe with unusual markings. Her twin sister had identical markings except she was brown and white instead of black and white. Tally Ho and her sister (Giddy Up) both had the same round spot inside the large patch of white.

CP Ranch Auld Sally

Old Sally is an aged, naturally polled Grade Nubian doe that we rescued from an auction where she was being sold for slaughter. With a little TLC she has turned out to be an exceptional doe. Although Sally has lost some of her udder attachment in her old age, (well heck, we all sag a little in old age) she still has a large capacious udder.

CP Ranch Just In Thyme

"Justine" is an experimental doe out of J-Nel RN Thyme and our sneaky Alpine buck, Phlox. Justine is the brat of the barnyard and if you want to find her, she is usually standing between Hugh's feet and tripping him up while he is trying to do the chores.

CP Ranch Black Bird and CP Ranch Nightingale

These two twin does are Oak Hill Farm Black Bonny's gift to us before she made her way to the rainbow bridge. Both doelings are an exact replica of their dam. The only way we can tell them apart, is that Black Bird has a tiny brown spot on top of her back.
