Our Nubian herd is very well established with three breeding bucks and a large number of does with a wide variety of pedigrees. We breed for large capacious udders and long lactations in our does. Photo at right shows J-Nels RN Thyme's quads from 2007. Two of the dark spotted bucks are herd sires at the ranch and can be seen as adults on the Nubian buck's page.

J-Nels RN Thyme

This is a photo of Thyme, along with her yearling doe, about 1 month before delivering spotted quads! Thyme has a large capacious udder with fantastic attachment and is know for her long lactation.

Wee One's Devin's Gracie Girl

Grace is a beautiful doe, pictures at 2 weeks before freshening, and one of my better milking Nubians. She presented us with twins in Spring 2007.

The Udder Bunch Macee

We were very fortunate to be able to purchase Macee and her daughter, Patches. Macee and Patches are one of those well bred, high milk yield does that you usually can't purchase, however, the owner was retiring and we happened to be in the right place at the right time. Sadly Macee passed away in 2008 from unusual pregnancy complications.

Udder Bunch Patches

Patches is one of our most beautiful does and had a pretty little doeling at the beginning 2008 that looks just like her grandmother, Macee. We let Patches raise her doeling because at the time, I just had my own newborn baby and wasn't able to milk. Patches is very attached to her doeling and the two are inseparable.

The Rhyme N Thyme

"Ruthie" is a pretty spotted purebred Nubian yearling out of J-Nel RN Thyme and our buck J&J-MCD'S Galahad's Shadow. Her dam has a wonderful udder and we look forward to having Ruthie on the milk stand next year.

CP Ranch Tally Ho

Tally Ho is a beautiful doe with unusual markings. Her twin sister had identical markings except she was brown and white instead of black and white. Tally Ho and her sister (Giddy Up) both had the same round spot inside the large patch of white.

CP Ranch Auld Sally

sally

Old Sally is an aged, naturally polled Grade Nubian doe that we rescued from an auction where she was being sold for slaughter. With a little TLC she has turned out to be an exceptional doe. Although Sally has lost some of her udder attachment in her old age, (well heck, we all sag a little in old age) she still has a large capacious udder. Update: Sally presented us with an exceptional doeling in the summer of 2006.

CP Ranch Java Beans

evil princess

Java is a solid black Grade Nubian doe. This doe is a very easy milker and I have taught many first time dairy goat owners to hand milk off her. Although Java has a rather pendulous udder and doesn't produce large quantities of milk, she makes up for it with extra long lactation periods. Java will be given a year off before being bred again.

CP Ranch Sally's Legacy

Legacy is Auld Sally's doeling from 2006. This doeling has her mother's stout build and deep body that is typical of the old style Nubians. Although we are hoping that Sally may give us another doe in the near future, Legacy may be Sally's last doeling because of her advanced age.

CP Ranch Black Jelly Bean

Jelly Bean is Java Beans 2006 doeling. Unfortunately, Jelly Bean had gangrenous mastitis during her first freshening and had to have half her udder amputated. Although Jelly will never be a milker with half an udder, she can still make a nice brood doe.

Oak Hill Farm Black Bonny

ebony

Bonnie is a solid black registered Nubian doe. We purchased this little girl from Oak Hill Nubian farm in Lake Wales. Bonny's dam was a little doe like Bonnie but a heavy milker. Bonny had beautiful twins this year and will be bred back next year. Unfortunately all her doe kids inherit her big, loud mouth.

Oak Hill Farm Sweet Charity

We purchased Charity from Oak Hill farm in Lake Wales along with Ebony. Charity is a very large doe and comes from a good milking background and had excellent nice udder development at her first freshening. Charity gave birth to quads her last two freshenings and is such a large doe that she never looks pregnant.

CP Ranch Andromeda(Tinker Bell)

Tinker Bell is Patches' 2008 doeling and although she looks very long in the photo, it was just a strange angle of the camera. Tinker bell has an impressive pedigree and we look forward to having her on the milk stand in another year.

CP Ranch Just In Thyme

"Justine" is an experimental doe out of J-Nel RN Thyme and our Alpine buck, Phlox. Justine is the brat of the barnyard and if you want to find her, she is usually standing between Hugh's feet and tripping him up while he is trying to do the chores.

CP Ranch Thyme INA Bottle

This is Ruthie's (CP Ranch Rhyme N Thyme) first little kid and she sure is a beauty. Although she has her father's spots (CP Ranch St. Patrick), she definitely inherited her mother's loud mouth.

CP Ranch Rollin N Clover

This is RN Thyme's doeling from her 4th freshening. Clover is out of a set of triplets with two brother's that went to other farms as breeding bucks.

CP Ranch Painted Lady

This little cutie is Patches' doeling. We can always spot "Lady" in a crowd because, like her mother and grandmother, she inherited a very long tail. Lady's twin brother was headed to another farm to be a future herd sire before he was even dried off from his birth.
