Come see what Crooked Pine Ranch had in the incubators and brooders in 2004 & 2005. We usually have an assortment of chickens, ducks, geese, and pheasants hatching out at any given time, however, due to our expanding herd of dairy goats, all of our chicken pens have been turned into goat pens. We have cut back on our flock of chicken and different breeds. To see available chickens for sale, see our Livestock sales page.

Febuary /March 2005
Goslings and ducklings are hatching in the incubators. These babies are ready to sell.

January 2005
Due to the unusually warm weather, we have geese laying eggs early. We are allowing the geese to set a few of their own eggs, but we also have incubators full of goose eggs. Eggs are due to start hatching mid-Febuary. A few Rouen and Muscovy duck eggs are also in the incubator.

March / April 2004 hatching:
This is the first (and probably only) hatching we are doing for 2004. With such a successful lambing and goat kidding season, most of our chicken coops have been converted into pens for sheep and goat mamas and babies. Most of the chickens are free-ranging now and the different breeds running together. This spring, we are hatching out goose and duck eggs. All goslings will be sold, as well as most of the duckling. A few Rouen females will be retained for our breeding program. In the incubator are a mixture of Brown and White Chinese, mixed with a few Toulouse crosses. Ducks are a mixture of Rouen, Mallard and Rouen-Runner crosses. This ends the spring hatching season.
