Although our Alpine herd is very small, it has been
growing each year with all the new little additions from
our senior does. In the Spring of 2007, Seneca produced
a beautiful buckling that is a perfect Cou Blanc and Lil
Bit produced twin doelings! All doe kids have been retained.
Look below and read a little bit about each doe and their
pedigree information.

New-Life-Acres
Seneca

Seneca
is a registered American Alpine. This young doe already was
in the show ring when she was just a few hours old (she was
born at the show grounds) and actually placed in the middle
of her class. Although a little doe, this girl is one of our
top milk producers with a long lactation period. Seneca had
her first freshening in March of 2007 and is still milking through
over 2 years later.

Rosalynne

Rosalynne
is a purebred French Alpine. This young doe has an excellent milking
and show pedigree and we hope she will produce our next herd sire.
Roz produced twin bucklings in March of 2008. We were surprised
because we didn't think she took at her last breeding.

Ranch Venus

Venus is a nice
Grade Alpine doe, with a nice medium sized udder with good attachment.
Venus is milking out 4 quarts a day at her fourth freshening
and tends to have a very long lactation period. Venus was bred
to Yuletide and produced triplet bucklings in the winter of
2006. Venus has such nice kids that all these bucklings sold
right away. We don't plan to breed Venus for awhile because
she needs some time off from being a milk goat and she keeps
her crippled daughter company ---->

Ranch Fancy Dancer

Dancer
is Venus's daughter from her second freshening. Her sire is New
Life Acres Yuletide. Dancer had severe Pregnancy Toxemia and Hypocalciumia
during her pregnancy in 2008 and although the vet delivered her
twin doelings via c-section (only one survived), Dancer is severely
crippled in both front legs from being down so long. This doe
can never be bred again, but we make her life as comfortable as
possible, and she will live out her days at the ranch as a pet.

The
IMS Little Bit

Little
Bit was Hugh's birthday present and he said it was the best
gift that he ever received. This pretty little Sundgau is bred
to Yuletide and is due to have her kids April 18, 2007 (Lil
Bit had twin doelings 4 days early).

Ranch Little Darling

Little
Darling is what is known as a "Mini-Alpine", which is
a cross between a Pygmy goat and an Alpine dairy goat. Although
a tiny little doe, she has a fantastic udder and can milk out
nearly as much as a standard sized dairy goat.

CP
Ranch Peppermint Patty &
CP Ranch Peppermint Twist
These two pretty little does were born 04/14/07
and were quite a surprise. We had hoped for a doeling this Spring
and was gifted with twins. These are Lil Bit's little girls
and both are retained to be future milkers.

Ranch Holly

Holly is a recorded
grade (50% Alpine) doeling. We actually tried to sell this doeling
at one time, but she cried all night with her new owner, and
her dam grieved to the point of driving us crazy. Mother and
daughter are inseparable, so Holly remains with the herd to
become a future milker.
